01 WELCOME

For ages,the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has remained to be of the finest magical institutions in the Wizarding realm, residing closely along with the all-female Beauxbaton Academy, located in France, and the all-male Durmstrang Institute, located in Norway. The age of the Dark Lord has long since passed, and the realm of magic has remained relatively peaceful – well, that is, as peaceful as a world of spell-casters and potion-brewers can be. However, though the times of war have passed, the memories still remain – forever recorded in the annals of history, and eternally preserved in remembrance for those whom passed away in the names of both the light and dark.

Such a war has taught the magical society that in troubling times, the greatest force can be produced in banding and coming together; since then, an on-going foreign exchange program has been established between the three greatest wizarding institutes.

Students from Durmstrang, Beauxbatons and Hogwarts can apply, or be nominated and selected, to be sent to each of the other two schools for a number of years, upwards to a total of three years (consecutive or scattered), where they will continue their education, all the while bridging the three schools together and representing their school throughout the other academies. Selected students are often model attendees at their original schools, who will embody the spirit of their academy in some way.

They are so integrated, in fact, that students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons have been able to form their own Quidditch teams, and prefect system, participating in almost all of Hogwarts inter-school activities (aside from House Points, that is).

On Breathe roleplay, the school of focus is Hogwarts, though characters may be exchange students from either Durmstrang or Beauxbatons.

The world is a splendid realm of magics, spells and fairy tales come to life – open your very own story book and commence writing with your quill, and remember to take a step back and BREATHE every once in a while.
